MXD of the Nd-Fe multilayers was measured at the Fe K-edge and the LII, III edges. The Nd 5d empty states are spin polarized. Thickness and temperature dependent investigations reveal the magnetic interface which is much broader (30 AÌŠ) than the chemical interface (8 AÌŠ) due to the interdiffusion. |
