Forming ability, stability and electrical transport properties of amorphous MxSn1-x alloys, M standing for 3d transition metals (from Vanadium to Copper) was studied. Semi-quantitative expressions are given for the evolution of the crystallization temperature with the concentration x and the atomic number of the transition metal M. Stability behaviour as well as resistivity measurements show a strong influence of the d electrons.
