A one-dimensional reaction-diffusion model is studied based on its steady-state phase diagram. The non-Hermitian density matrix renormalization group is used for the analysis. The model is reduced to the pair-contact process in the absence of single-particle diffusion. The process has a phase transition in the universality class of directed percolation and an infinite number of absorbing steady states.
