Nonequilibrium simulation study of interface
Nobuyasu Ito

Salle de séminaire du groupe de Physique Statistique

Macroscopic theories like thermodynamics and hydrodynamics treat phase interface as mathematical two-dimensional objects, but in reality, they have finite t hickness and structures. Although the scale is nanoscopic in general, they are relevant in many macroscopic phenomena, especially in nonlinear nonequilibrium phenomena. In this talk, recent analysis on interfaces between liquid and gas, liquid and solid, and so on, using nonequilibrium computer simulation is introduced. The density structure, transport characteristics, and dynamical evolution of interfaces are treated.
